Web17 mar 2015 · The hike up and down took us approximately 7 hours with frequent stops for snack breaks and rock inspections (gotta keep the kids happy and interested). The first mile and half up is the hardest and most challenging part, imo (4 year-old did this part mostly on her own though). WebHiking Guadalupe Peak does require a moderate amount of hiking experience and relative fitness. It is not the best recommendation for very young children, or those that might struggle with moderately sustained uphill climbs.
